Rely on us to monitor and measure your compliance

Our audits subject each service area to an independent, systematic and critical examination. The objective is to determine and discover strengths and weaknesses and any areas of vulnerability or risk, whilst considering how your health and safety system operates in practice. This process can show you how to make practical improvements.

At Environtec, all of our audits are conducted by an experienced and qualified ‘competent person’. We can assist and undertake the following audits to meet your needs.

HSG 65 – Management System Performance Audit
This type of audit will benefit you by reviewing and considering the effectiveness of your Health and Safety Management System. This includes the arrangements you have in place to meet your legal and other requirements.

BS ISO 45001 Gap Analysis Audit
ISO 45001 sets out the minimum requirements for occupational health and safety management best practice. This type of audit considers each of the clauses related to the ISO 45001 standard. We can help you meet those requirements and guide you through the accreditation process.

Contractor Management Audits
This type of audit considers individual contractors’ safety management and operational systems. This can be done before you engage or accepting a contractor or as part of ongoing contractor evaluation.

Project Audits
These audits consider the planning and safe working practices on site during project or refurbishment works. This benefits you by providing a current evaluation of a given construction or refurbishment project. Project audits can also form additional parts of the contractor management audit that test the effectiveness of a contractor’s processes and procedures.

Other 3rd Party Audits
This audit & inspection regime considers other parties which could directly affect your duty to manage effectively. It can assist with co-operation and communication between landlords’ or tenants’ activities. It can also help with your overarching H&S responsibilities to consider other parties and address any additional insurance concerns.

Bespoke Site or Desktop Audits
We can undertake or tailor audits to meet individual circumstance or requirements, either on site or remotely.

Ongoing review
Continual monitoring of audits ensures that the safety of your business is subject to a clear formal review framework. This enables you to evaluate and plan to control risks as your business develops.

What you get

  • Planning the audit – This includes agreeing the objectives and scope of the audit, collecting and reviewing documentation and preparing the audit plan.

  • Implementing – This may involve interviewing the relevant people, reviewing additional documents and observing the work environment and practices.

  • A detailed written report – This will provide you with information on how your health and safety system operates in practice. It also identifies strengths and weakness and where remedial action is required.

  • A basis for continual improvement – Regular audits allow you to track your progress in improving health and safety

  • Peace of mind – You’ll know that your audit has been completed professionally and expertly.

Audit and performance review is a vital step in the health and safety management control cycle. Without the ‘feedback loop’ they offer, it’s difficult to keep improving health and safety in your workplace.
