The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires you to have a detailed fire emergency evacuation plan. The plan should be in writing and detail the actions that employees should take if there is a fire. The evacuation plan should also include information on how to carry out calls to the fire and emergency services.

To create your fire evacuation plan, our experienced fire consultants will inspect your workplace and address the specific fire safety needs of your business while considering any specific requirements for evacuating the elderly, the young and the disabled. Your plan will address the following points:

  • Evacuation protocol
  • Who is designated to call fire and rescue service
  • Where firefighting equipment is located
  • How to alert building occupants to the fire
  • Where escape routes lead
  • Additional responsibilities for assigned people
  • Provisions for employees and / or visitors with special needs
  • The assembly location for evacuees
  • Where isolation points are located
  • Who has responsibility for turning off machinery or removing equipment
  • The recommended training needed to achieve the above

You will receive a written report containing a suitable and sufficient fire emergency evacuation plan specific to your premises and your business fire safety needs.
