PROJECT OVERVIEW

More than 10,000 customers, including 59 FTSE 100 companies and the majority of UK Government departments, depend on G4S to provide them with a safe and secure way to deliver their services

Environtec was awarded a contract to act as single supplier on asbestos management and re-inspection survey for G4S Total Facilities Management.

The contract required Environtec to develop and populate the G4S Micad asset management system, to supervise and conduct analytical monitoring during large scale asbestos removal projects and to support G4S to deliver a robust compliance service.

OUR APPROACH

This was a challenging project with 341 high security sites requiring a range of surveys and inspections within 6 months of contract start.

To ensure that projects did not affect day to day operation within buildings we established excellent working relationships with all stakeholders and applied a flexible working approach to completing projects.

We ensured that real time management information was supplied to all stakeholders through deployment of a dedicated data management administration team responsible for delivering robust data via the Micad asset management system.

Delivery of management reporting on a regular basis provided G4S the ability to manage risk effectively.

A national permit to work telephone helpdesk facility for all G4S contractors was set up to.
