WHO IS IT FOR?
The HSE advises qualified asbestos Managers refresh their qualification and competence at regular intervals. The course is designed for those that are responsible for managing asbestos in a building or estates, hold a P405 qualification and wish to refresh their required knowledge base to audit asbestos removal projects and surveys.
COURSE CONTENT
The objective of this course is to revise and update the knowledge of good asbestos management practice in buildings (including auditing of asbestos remediation projects), to a standard which minimises the risk of exposure to airborne asbestos fibres.
The main subject areas include legislative requirements, types of asbestos and their health effects, surveys, management actions and systems, remediation methods and the role of the analyst and four stage clearance.
The course includes a full range of PowerPoint presentations, accompanying notes and additional course materials.
ASSESSMENT
Candidates will be required to pass a 60 minute written examination.
QUALIFICATION AND CERTIFICATES
Candidates will be issued with a certificate of competency by BOHS on successful completion of the examination.

Candidates for this course must already hold a P405 certificate.
