Syd has been associated with Environtec since 2016 managing our fire safety clientele. He joined us permanently as Fire Safety Manager in January 2023.

Syd previously served in the Fire Service for 25 years and reached the rank of Station Manager. Since then, he has worked within the private fire safety sector. He also brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Environtec and a vision to make our Fire Department as strong as our Asbestos and Water offerings.

Living in Chelmsford with his wife, Joanna, and two children, Charlie and Evie, Syd is also a keen golfer and a season ticket holder at his beloved West Ham United.
