Alan joined Environtec in March 2007 as a Trainee Consultant, subsequently developing his career to become a Diversified Consultant. He was promoted into the Quality Department in 2013 to increase the standards of the field team, while continuing in his project management roles for key clients. In 2014, he was promoted to become our SHEQ Manager.

Alan is now responsible for overseeing Environtec’s UKAS accreditation and ISO certifications, aiming to continuously improve and promote high standards of work to on-site teams, ensuring employees are safe and minimising their impact on the environment.

Since joining us, Alan has built up 16 years’ experience within the asbestos sector, including air testing, surveying, laboratory bulk and soil analysis, management of asbestos removal projects and consultancy, as well as undertaking contaminated land investigations and acting as an independent expert witness. 

Alan lives in Chelmsford with his wife and three children, and his interests include reading and socialising, in between ferrying his children to and from football matches.
