The client

Environtec has worked with Lincolnshire Constabulary since 2016. The force is one the largest in England in terms of geographic area, covering 2,284 square miles.

The project

Our initial involvement with this client involved carrying out asbestos management surveys (AMSs) for all of the police sites in the county. This culminated in a large AMS of the force’s Lincoln HQ.

Since then, we have carried out annual re-inspections and ad-hoc refurbishment surveys, followed by analytical works during asbestos abatement and removal. We have also provided asbestos training.

Key challenges and solutions

One unusual project for the force was a survey of a decommissioned vehicle. Asbestos was found in it, which led to a decontamination plan before it was destroyed.
