Knight Frank is the UK’s leading independent estate agent, offering a wide range of services for buyers, sellers, landlords, occupiers, developers and investors. It has a network of offices and a property portfolio spanning Great Britain, stretching from Aberdeen to Exeter. Environtec works with Knight Frank on a variety of asbestos-related projects for the company’s residential and commercial arms. Recent residential work in London has included the removal of AIB from 2 Trinity Church Square and phased boiler room decontamination and encapsulation at 25 Portchester Place. Work for Knight Frank’s commercial division has included asbestos demolition and refurbishment surveys at Queen’s Square, Croydon – a large site with shops, office building and some listed properties.

Key challenges and solutions

Many of the properties we work on are occupied for the duration of works, with a sizable number also having listed status. This means arranging for works to be carried out with minimum disruption to tenants and reinstating all areas to their satisfaction. Where necessary, we liaise with English Heritage before and during works.

Because the properties usually have live services, we employ asbestos trained electricians and plumber where required, ensuring as little disruption as possible. As we are contactable out of normal working hours, we are able to rectify issues as needed and quickly.
