FINANCE MANAGER (ESSEX)

Due to an expanding workload, a vacancy has arisen for a Finance Manager to join our team in Essex.

The role is based in our Head Office in Hatfield Peverel, Chelmsford.  Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for driving the performance of the finance department.

Experience / Qualifications:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA)
  • Previous experience in a similar senior role or from an accountancy practice background.
Duties:
  • Day to day management of the finance team of 6, reporting to the Finance Director
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including forecasting and management packs for budget holders
  • Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
  • Develop existing processes and controls
  • Implement KPI’s to analyse performance and monitor trends
  • Assist with periodic external audits
  • Cash flow and treasury management
  • Oversee outsourced payroll preparation
  • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Intermediate / advanced Excel skills
  • Practical experience of using Sage Accounts
  • The ability to work within a team, great attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines is essential
