Due to an expanding workload, we are recruiting for a qualified asbestos analyst to form part of our team covering the South of England.  The role is based in our Hatfield Peverel office, near Chelmsford.

Experience / Qualifications
  • BOHS P403 Asbestos Fibre Counting and BOHS P404 Air Sampling of Asbestos is essential
  • Previous demonstrable air-monitoring experience within the asbestos industry
  • Familiarity of working for a UKAS accredited company
  • Experience of using hand held data collectors is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
  • Carrying out asbestos smoke, background, leak, reassurance, visual, 4 stage clearances and re-occupation and personal air testing
  • Monitoring contractors on site ensuring that they adhere to Asbestos and Health and Safety procedures
  • Liaising on a daily basis with clients, contractors and their representatives as well as members of the public
  • Other duties as requested by the Analytical Manager to help and support the office growth
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and client facing skills
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • A good eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure
  • Flexible (some out of hours and weekend work will apply)
  • The desire to maximise full potential through further training and site based experience
